You do not come to Italy and avoid food. It would be un-Italian to a sacrilege of Italian culture. I eat out, I eat in. 90% of the time the food is Italian. Here, I post random photos of random eats.
Pasticiotti Leccesi…from my housemate Christmas sweets. Homemade in Lecce with love. Cartellate in progress that my Puglese housemate was making. Need to be fried/baked and then dipped in mulled wine. Friarielli or friggitelli…we debated the correct name at home and found out both are used. Jewish artichoke in the Jewish quarter Fried alici in a hidden square near Piazza Navona Cappuccino….hahaha. Mostly importantly, from my local coffee shop (called a bar) where they know my name.
